Amber eyes surveyed the horizon, auditories flicking atop his head, watching the land in hopes of finding a bite to eat. It had seemed so long since he had something to chew on, it seemed. Peds returned to his journey, still keeping an eye out for any movement. But he was in land with other wolfen, he could smell it. A hunt would most likely attract others, scavengers willing to pick on him just to get a snack. Smirking, Octane moved on, his nose pointed in the direction of the earth, trying to catch the scent of prey.

Maddie slowly trodded forward. her bones weary from the long travel. Her orbs looking every which way. The fae's paws landing on the hard ground with a soft THUD. Her nostrills picking up the scent of the other creatures. She picked up her feet and started to run. She bounded up onto a large rock and gazed out into the wilderness. Spying a small rabbit, she slowly crept up to the rabbit and pounced on it.

A rustle nearby, the scent of a rabbit... And another wolf. Frown tugging at his lips, he jetted off, quad appendages taking full, long strides in the direction of the two. But as he spotted the two nearby, he halted, deep eyes surveying the scene. "Well, it seems you had the same idea as me." Words left his larynx, dragging on in his own genuine way. Shaking his head, he sighed, glancing up again. "So, are you new around here, also?" Tones inquired, brow raising in a questionable manner. He wasn't sure, since she wasn't with any other wolf, and generally wolfen were social creatures.

"Sadly, yes." She raised her head in sorrow. She didn't like being alone. not at all. She was glad this brute came. Respectfully, she held out the rabbit to the male. If she was going to survive in the land, she might as well get off to a good start. The sun was starting to set, the golden sun shinning on her full black fur. Letting the sun warm up her coat, she dropped the rabbit by his paws. She slowly crept to back to a tree, and sat down.

Ocatane frowned at her actions. Not that submission was bad- it could be quite good at certain moments. But not this one, he found the situation to be quite awkward. "No- I can't take what you rightfully fell." He murmured, stepping away from the mangled rabbit. Even if he was gruff, he at least knew the rules. "Besides, it's not like that's the only prey around here." Tones continued, his grey coat shaking slightly. "Name's Octane. Who are you, exactly?" Another question slipped from his kissers as he rejected the rabbit, taking it up within his jaws and bringing it back over to the essa. He dropped the rabbit, motioning to her that she should take it.

Sitting completely still, Maddie answered him question, "My name is Maddie," she softly barked, "And you can tka eit. I don't need it as much as you do." She pulled her lips up, smiling just a tad. "Well.. Octane. Where is your pack?" She asked, standing to her feet. She shook herself, releasing all the pine needles that had gotten caught in her coat.

Grey physique stood still for a moment, shaking his head at her words. She was a stubborn one. "If you say so." He muttered, taking the rabbit in his jaws once more. He ripped of a chunk of meat and continued, lying down as to make his meal easier on his legs. "Pleasure to meet you, Maddie." Continuing to bite into the rabbit, he listened to her last question, frowning as he looked back up. "I have no pack- and never have. I'm not too sure if that habit will break here, I may just end up leaving again." He stopped to munch on a rib, Soon glancing back up to Maddie. "Where is YOUR pack?" He asked in a gruff manner, tail swaying idly behind him. His paws were repositioned as he decided that he was now filled, taking up back into a stand.

Maddie paused for a second. She really didn't like talking about her pack, but she could make an execption. "My-My-My pack is....Dead," She layed down in the grass. Maddie put her skull in her paws and sighed.

Watching behind his amber chasms, Octane could feel a frown tugging at his lips. Grey bulk shifted away by a step, seeing her sorrowed reaction to his question. It always ended like this, every conversation ruined by his thoughtless questions. Adverting his gaze to the cold ground, he sighed. "Atleast you had a pack." He added, smirking slightly as he sat down in a patch of nearby grass. Grey fur glinted in the morning sunlight, causing it to be coated in a golden sheen.
